IGOR STEFANOVIĆ was born in 1980 in Belgrade, Serbia. At a very young age, his passion for painting and drawing began to thrive in greater fervor combined with his interest in computers and technology. At the age of 15 he started working on business card designs and marketing material and realized that it could become his avocation. During high school, he created 3D animated commercials. This eventually led him to collaborate with some of the top brands in the country, including local distributors of Peugeot, Coca-Cola, Citroen, and Sony Corp.
After graduating with a bachelor’s degree from the Faculty of Organizational Sciences he decided to shift toward visual effects and animation fields of the film industry where he discovered his passion for anatomy in bringing digital characters to life. His portfolio landed him the job as a Character Technical Director at Framestore, London, one of the most successful VFX and animation companies in the world. There, he worked on hero characters on animated feature “The Tale Of Despereaux” for Universal Studios.
Soon he joined team of DreamWorks Animation in Los Angeles, where he worked on the anatomical setups of digital characters on major animated Hollywood films, titles such as “Kung Fu Panda 2″, “Puss In Boots”, “Rise Of The Guardians”, “Turbo”, “Bureau Of Otherwordly Operations “.
Over this time, painting was always an important part of his life, but mainly a hobby. He’s now a full time artist, who uses oil on linen as the perfect medium to express ideas that have been flourishing over the years.
